Worldskills aims to develop and nurture the skills of Australias youth. Their purpose is to promote and build a skills culture by inspiring young people, celebrating skills excellence and providing them with an opportunity to showcase their tallents. They achieve this goal through competitions held on a Regional, National and International level.

In Western Sydney during 2011 we have had students compete in Hospitality, Business Services, Tourism, IT, Automotive , Metals and Engineering and Construction competitions, with students progressing through to the State competitions early next year. In 2009, a student from Macarthur Girls High School was 3rd at the National Competition in IT.

Please take time to read the Summer newsletter describing the International Worldskills competition held in London last month.
